i own a panasonic uj260 and the unit contains all the codes i need except a couple of codes that the company says no one knows the codes for except panasonic.but i already know how to turn the player on/off and for the dvd functions.if you can help me please let me know.
I have what I believe to be an old Panasonic Uj 260. The model number is 40C-F26AU. I have now ordered a new remote from a reputable source, but it is not yet in, so I am hoping to get a firmware update code from someone with the update program from Sony. If you have one, please let me know!

I had the unit set to region code 2 and would only play discs from region code 1 (USA). For some unknown reason I’m in the process of trying to purchase an encoder in the hopes of getting it working again. Any way, I came across this post. Do any of these codes work with the UJ-260?? I have a panasonic uj260 and the unit works just fine except it continues to say “DVD system failure”, so I go to a friends house and use his DVD player to see if there was a problem with mine. He just plays his disc perfectly fine, so I knew the problem would be my unit. Any way,I was pretty much sold, but that is until I realized that his did not have the code to my region. I just bought a code that said its in the correct region code, but it had issues, it would play discs but with a blur when switching chapters. So i downloaded a program that unscrambles the code. but it still said that the DVD system failure error. Does anyone know if this is normal?
hi – i have a 95 lumix camera with the firmware version fvcv2-12-1.1 and the model fvc-w57, which is panasonic’s newest. i have never ever had a problem with it. i’ve been using it since september and it’s just fine. suddenly, a couple of months ago, i had the same problem you mentioned. i connected it to my computer and everything seemed ok. i did some research, but the only thing i found was to go into the menu and press the up and down buttons simultaneously (12 times) and it will enable multi-region play. i did that and the time limit on dvd’s appeared on the screen and the system plays everything without any problem. this is when i began to be alarmed, because i’ve been using the same camera for over a year. since i know nothing about computers, i don’t know what the time limit means. am i wasting my time?

i bought a home theater surround sound system last year and now i can’t get the remote control to work, either through the panasonic or sony jvc’s remote. i have tried every combination of button presses but nothing happens. if i go to the dvd menu, press “up” and “down” 12 times, the screen comes up with the time limit, but it still won’t control the tv. a hundred other sony remotes work fine, so it’s not a hardware problem. none of the button presses on the panasonic or sony remotes work. panasonic says i should call them, but they won’t budge. i’ve had 3 panasonic service people in and out of my house for no good reason. it’s giving me a headache!
